Chips
Chips are a graphical user interface element that display a small piece of information or a short message in a compact and visually distinct format. They are often used to represent a small piece of content such as a tag, a contact, or a small piece of data in a list or a collection.
Chips Usage
Chips allow users to enter information, make selections, filter content, or trigger actions. While buttons are expected to appear consistently and with familiar calls to action, chips should appear dynamically as a group of multiple interactive elements. Non interactive chips which are used to show info. are known as labels.
